About the Adventure

Adventure Description

Several small farming towns have been destroyed by a savage tribe of goblins, simply named The Bog Clingers. Now the goblins have their sight on the city of Silverwood, an economical and spiritual center for the country. With the national army fighting raiders to the south, it’s up to the members of Reapers Guild to stop the green menaces before it’s too late.

Join the Reapers Guild and fight back and defeat the ferocious Bog Clingers. Put a stop to the raids and save Silverwood for the chance of fame, fortune, or vengeance.

Character Creation Guidelines

Like written above, consider what kind of character you’d like to play and bring that idea with flexibility to our first session. Also, come up with a few possible reasons how and why your character joined the Reapers Guild.

Follow the Player Creation Steps found on Pages 90-92 to create a Level 1 Character

  1. Apply the Standard Array to your attributes & Set your Prime Modifier to 3
  2. Choose 2 Attributes to gain Save Masteries (Add +1 to those attribute saves)
  3. Distribute your 5+Int Skill Points, 3 Trade Points, & 2 Language Points
  4. Calculate Health Points (7+Might)
  5. Fill in your Character’s Stamina Points (1) if you want to play a martial, Mana Points (6) if you want to play a spellcaster or both (1SP/3MP) if you’re playing a Hybrid class.
  6. Fill in your character’s Physical Defense (9+Agility+Armor Bonus) and Mental Defense (9+Charisma+Intelligence) as well as Damage Reduction if any (from armor or traits)
  7. Fill out your Combat Modifiers
    1. Attack/Spell Check: +4
    2. Save DC: 14
    3. Martial Check: Highest between Athletics or Acrobatics
    4. Death Threshold: -3
    5. Move Speed: 5
    6. Jump Distance: Equals your Agility (minimum 1)
    7. Rest Points: Might (minimum of 0) +1
    8. Grit Points: 2+Charisma
  8. Choose an Ancestry, either 1 or 2 (only spending 5 Ancestry Points)
  9. Choose a Class & Apply Class Features or Spells
  10. Choose Weapons & Inventory (anything is okay, but don’t go overboard)

Small backstories (or concepts) are highly encouraged, 1-3 paragraphs.

Like Playing with my Best Friend

June 30, 2024

Jacob brought an energy and familiarity to our one shot that felt as if I was playing a game with one of my childhood friends. He was humble and easy going. His excitement matched my own for the game we were playing, and that made all the difference resulting in a genuinely funny, laugh out loud, and memorable night. Thank you Jacob for running my first DC20 game and first RPGClub game! I had a blast! I look forward to your running a DC20 campaign!

Highly Experienced

May 21, 2024

I’ve campaigned with Jacob for years now, whether that be as a DM or party member. I can say without a doubt that through experiences on all sides of the table he’s mastered TTRPGs. His Attention to detail, Story Stelling, and Character backstory inclusion is top notch, you’re guaranteed to have an amazing experience in ANY campaign Jacob runs.

Phenomenal Dungeon Master

May 21, 2024

Jacob is the type of DM I aspire to be like. I was lucky enough to be a player in his Curse of Strahd campaign, and it was easily the most enjoyable campaign I have ever been a part of. He is a master of incorporating opportunities for the spotlight for each individual character, intertwining backstories into the story of the overarching campaign, and making every encounter a fantastic cliffhanger that leaves you pumped up and excited for the next session.

Anyone who loves to play DnD, whether you’re brand new and hoping to just try it out and have some fun, or if you’re a DnD veteran looking for something new and challenging, Jacob can do it all, and do it all in a way that any level of player will love being a part of his games. Highly reccomend!
