Adventure Description
The Hunt for a Red Dragon is a 1st level, one-time adventure for Dungeons and Dragons 5th edition. It takes place in the city Byriver and its surrounding landscape, after an evil red dragon named Haldraxis attacked. This classic fantasy adventure takes players on the journey through the frontier to defeat Haldraxis and his kobold servants.
How to Prepare
Consider what kind of character you would like to play but keep these ideas flexible. Together, as the group, we will finalize character concepts, and create characters before the game session. You will also need the following materials.

Character Creation GuidelinesÂ
Like written above, consider what kind of character you’d like to play and bring that idea with flexibility to our first session. Also, come up with a few possible reasons how your character ended up in the city of Byriver.
Characters will begin at Level 1
All official 5e content is available for use (core, non-core, and anything on DNDBeyond)
Homebrew content may be used upon approval.
Small backstories (or concepts) are highly encouraged, 1-3 paragraphs.
Gameplay Theme
This introductory adventure throws players into the city of Byriver shortly after a dragon attack. The dragon threat allows players to seek for riches, vengeance, or justice as they scale the untamed frontier. This game is especially welcoming to new players to try D&D for the first time. Epic and hilarious moments are bound to happen but most importantly this game will be fun for everyone!
