About the Adventure

Good day player heroes.  I am your Loremaster for an adventure into Middle Earth!

We will be adventuring into the Mines of Moria!  Will you delve to the great deeps to see what long forgotten treasure lingers there…and what evil gnaws at the bones of the earth?  Will you stumble across the great Citidel of the Ring-Wrighs and try to craft your own ring of power?!  Who knows what secrest hide in the great deeps of Khazad-Dum?

This game will be a 1 shot, but may turn into a longer game if there is interest.

We will be using the Lord of the Rings Roleplaying system from Free League Publishing.  It is heavily based on DnD 5e, but with no magic spells to worry about.  This will be a very gritty, realistic environment where murder hobos will end up quickly being dead hobos.  There is no resurrection, or magic healing.  A short rest takes 8 hours and a long rest can only be taken in a santuary (Like Rivendell, or Lorien).  If you die, you are rolling a new character.  I will have a few pre-gens standing by in case the worst happens.

All this is to say that it is a much more streamlined DnD 5e experience that allows for quickly moving through combat and can allow for more adventure!

This will require a more lenghty manual character creation process that is NOT tied to DnD Beyond.  I will fully assist with any character creation issues prior to the session, or create the charater myself based on your wishes.

Available classes are:  Scholar, Warden, Messenger, Treasure Hunter, Champion, and Captain.

Available races are: Dwarf of Durin’s Folk, Elf of Lindon, Elf of Rivendell, Hobbit, Breelander, Barding, and Ranger of the North.

For those interested, I have PDF snippets of all classes and races for you to review.

See you at the table!

Best Tales in the Realms

August 18, 2024

It has been my pleasure to play at Robert’s table for three campaigns and each session has made the last for years a little more magical. As a DM/GM, Robert is adaptable, sophisticated in his understanding of game mechanics, and more creative than Volo himself. Each session is a spellbinding experience that remains true to the core plotline of the campaign while incorporating delightfully inventive and unexpected bits of homebrew and accommodating the individual and collective imaginations of his players.

Whether you’re coming to the game as an already mighty hero or as a young farmhand hearing the call to adventure for the first time, you’re sure to find Robert’s tales enchanting.

A Dungeon Master Who Turns Dice Rolls into Legends

August 18, 2024

If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to have a Dungeon Master who could outsmart a mimic, outwit a beholder, and craft stories as intricate as a Dwarven forge, then look no further. I’ve had the honor of sitting at this table on and off for the past 12 years, and I can say with confidence that our DM’s 30 years of experience shines like a +3 Sword of Storytelling. Each session is an epic quest where the NPCs feel like old friends (or enemies), the plot twists make you feel like you’ve failed your Insight check, and the world is so immersive you’d swear you could roll for perception in real life.

What truly sets him apart, though, is his unparalleled storytelling ability. He’s the kind of DM who could make a gelatinous cube seem like a tragic hero and turn a simple tavern visit into an unforgettable adventure (seriously, don’t trust the ale!). His mastery over the art of pacing, character development, and plot is so sharp that even a rogue would be envious. Whether you’re rolling a natural 20 or crit-failing spectacularly, every moment at his table is a tale worth telling. So, if you’re looking for a campaign where the dice gods favor the bold and the story always has you at the edge of your seat, this is the one to join. Just be ready you never know when a dragon might drop in for tea!

Awesome DM/GM!!!

August 16, 2024

My group has had a great campaign, running through Curse of Strahd with this awesome Dungeon Master! His resources are top notch, his improv on-point for when the party got distracted, his knowledge of the rules exquisite, and he added a flair of homebrew to keep things personal with the group. We never felt railroaded and were able to explore the world with only gentle reminders-such as if we had a time frame to work with. I cannot recommend him highly enough!
