The Maelstrom are a boostergang in Night City with a long history of cyber-psychotic members who made the evening news in a violent confrontation with MaxTac. MaxTac is short for Maximum-Tactical, NCPD’s strategy to meet firepower with more firepower. Let’s see how that strategy works out?
About the Adventure
The Maelstrom gang has had a run-in with MaxTac before and retreated to the combat zone south of Night City. You can choose to create a character on your own, or select a pre-generated Max Tac Enforcer Squad member or a Maelstrom ‘borged out booster ganger. You form a team of edgerunners … either one side or the other, and it’s up to you to decide who gets to claim the combat zone as their exclusive turf. Stealth your way to the top using the sewers, or mount a full scale assault with air support or really big guns and stolen rockets. Netrunners and Medtechs also needed.
Learn to Play
This is a Learn to Play game that should be played in 1-session. The rules are based on the Cyberpunk 2020 System, but you don’t have to know anything about it; the GM/Referee will help you learn to play.
What can you do to prepare?
When you register, you’ll receive an email receipt with a Roll20 link. Click the link to join the Roll20 server where you may “Launch” the game to access your character sheet and get started.
The Referee will help you create a character prior to the game session to ensure we have enough gametime as possible.
Ensure you have a microphone and headset to be able to join the call. Webcams are optional, but highly recommended.
What does the GM provide?
The GM will provide all digital assets necessary to play the game. For this game, that may also entail character sheets and audio immersion.

This game is likely to include themes such as violence, drug use, and trans-humanism, and cyber-psychosis.
Gangs and countergangs are usually the enemy in Cyberpunk. But why not join one anyhow? Gangs can serve useful purposes, such as neighborhood defense, to stop other more violent gangs, or to resist a major invasion by the Government or the Corporations. In this context, unless you join MaxTac, you would be seeking to join forces with a couple of other gangs to take over an old hotel in the combat zone and use it as a new base of operations. You will pick one of three ex military veteran based gangs: Ironsights, Red Chrome Legion, or the Metal Warriors. Joining forces to create a new gang from the ashes of a bloody firefight between Inquisitors and Metal Warriors, you will become some of the first legendary Maelstrom gangers to rage in the Night City Streets. Other than night time skirmishes with Inquisitors, Maelstrom is currently into petty crime, but a need for more cyberware and combat drugs threatens to drive them to hit larger targets. Will you manage to make it in the dog eat dog world that is thug life in the combat zone? This sandbox style Cyberpunk 2020 themed game will push you to extremes of combat lethality, exploration into the net and other parts of Night City, and role-playing to your heart’s content. For more experienced players who are already living on the edge.
Ran 3 or 4 sessions with Sno now. Really good DM and the minor issue I did have was explained to me in a clear way so I could understand his perspective.
Had the chance to run a bit of the introductory one shot that Snohomish set up of for our group and truly enjoyed it. Snohomish helped us set up our characters and explain most of the mechanics we had questions with as well as provide us with the necessary tools to run the campaign via Roll20. Plug in all the information to roll20 and the cyberpunk character creation tool they had was so convenient as when you had to roll for something you could just click that specific skill on the character sheet and include modifiers. As for the campaign one shot, we had a nice introduction to Night city including some of the lore and characters in the overall game world. Overall enjoyed the campaign as well as all the help and tools we used.
