About the Adventure

The rain has finally subsided.  Mist roils through the streets and for a moment the city sleeps. You enter into the Golden Peak Brewhaus by the alleyway entrance.  A couple of quick turns and you pull back the curtain to a private meeting room.  Surrounding a softly lit table others stand just at the edge of the shadows.  You recognize some of these faces; the best at what they do–skilled mercenaries willing to work outside the law for the right price.  An older man with thinning white hair and a monocle enters quietly with a tray of scones and hot coffee.  “The name’s Byron Crow, and it’s a pleasure.  I’m the one that has brought you all here this fine evening.  Seems the Godfather of the Wolf Pack has given us the stamp of approval.”  Mr. Crow continues speaking of an extremely dangerous task: sneaking into the hallowed halls of the Lady of the Spire, a commanding cathedral in High Hold to STEAL a relic.  Locked within a magically guarded vault of antiquity are precious artifacts that the church doesn’t want to share with anyone, even the royal family of the Sol Spire.  Rare intel that has cost the thieves’ guild known as The Wolf Pack, dearly but it’s finally time to collect.

The arch-bishops of the cathedral have not made their home hospitable for those with “light fingers”.  Which is why your team dips outside its normal rogue members in order to overcome much of the protective magics surrounding this treasure.

Byron Crow has been cultivating this heist for months. He has pulled in this elite team that you are a part of… the risks are great, but so is the reward.  A meteorite from the moon goddess herself; witnesses attest to an orb of precious metal and marble bringing a knight back from the dead.  It also seemed to allow one to speak to ancestors long gone.  This rough shard of Sol’isis allows the wielder to perhaps even step between the worlds of the living and the dead!  Upon returning with the relic each member will receive their choice: a rare magic item, a favor or boon, or 10,000gp!

It’s the night before the heist… a last moments preparation before testing the church’s defenses.  Good luck…

What to Expect: this is a longer than a one-shot, but shorter than an adventure… it’s a Small-Shot (phrase coined by me—I’m trademarking it!).  This will take a group of elite adventurers roughly 2 to 4 game sessions.  It leads them through a very harrowing heist of an artifact of unknown significance, through the fencing of that item… and the divvying up of treasure; which never goes wrong. (cough)

What to Bring: Your characters should be stealthy, skilled operatives with somewhat sliding morals, but can be of any class and background.  Byron Crow has vetted you over the past few months and while you don’t know each other, this is by design.  Your characters should be 8th level and start with 2 common and 2 uncommon magic items.  Leave one attunement slot open as the guild has a specialized item to give each of you for this mission.

Age Range:  Despite the nefarious bend of this mission, this is a teenage friendly adventure, designed with numerous skill checks, puzzles and “small” combat sections that will in some cases be harrowing and hilarious.

Oh, you might want to also pack an escape route…

Highly immersive game play and beginner friendly...

July 6, 2024

I recently had the pleasure of playing in a Cyberpunk Red game run by HollywoodDM (Nat), and it was an outstanding experience! HollywoodDM made the entire process incredibly smooth and enjoyable.

From the start, he created an immersive and engaging story that drew us all in. His vivid descriptions and dynamic storytelling brought the cyberpunk world to life, making it easy for us to get lost in the narrative. He was also incredibly patient and helpful, taking the time to explain the rules and mechanics in a way that was easy to understand.

What truly stood out was his ability to guide us through our first experience with the system. He provided us with a plethora of ideas and options for what our characters could do, ensuring that we felt empowered and excited to explore the game. His enthusiasm and dedication to making sure we had a great time were evident throughout the session.

Overall, GM Nat is an exceptional game master who excels at creating a beginner-friendly and immersive experience. If you’re new to Cyberpunk Red or just looking for a fantastic game master, I highly recommend playing in one of his games!

HollywoodDM is an incredible DM and very well experienced to anticipate my groups actions, and work with them on the fly. This oneshot was very fun and I highly recommend anyone reading this review to give him a shot. I know that I don’t regret playing in his oneshot, and I know that you sure won’t! And to my DM, masterfully done, masterfully played, 10 out of 10 would play again.

An amazing DM... a true rare talent!

I’ve played every permutation of D&D since 1984, and what makes every game enjoyable is a GM focused on story and character. Nate has a wide arsenal of voices and differentiated NPC motivations and in-depth back-story, which combine to make his world-building feel full and truly “alive.”; During game sessions, his descriptions are rich, and his pace of play is neither hindered by excessive role-play, nor Spartan/without flair combat (specifically, he doesn’t pull punches in fights, which I appreciate and prefer). I’ve also found that even small clues and seemingly incidental details present themselves in all NPC interactions, many of which lead to entire other adventures, or even campaigns. He really does balance his non-combat/combat sections well, and while I’m not privy to other groups that he runs, my group of veteran players are thoroughly addicted. I highly recommend you hire him for your campaign, or one-shot (just don’t take my time slot)!
