Trains are whistling there is a commotion of people hustling to their platforms. You look down at your ticket and find your way to Platform 9 ¾. You find your seat on the crowded train. A bunch of first year students sheepishly board the train trying not to make eye contact with you. You flashback to when you were a first year. It was a cold night you could feel the wind chill in the air and hear the water lapping up on the sides of the boat. You hear silent whispers of students. As you creep along closer you see the lights from the castle shining through the night. You remember back to the great hall and all the chatter as the previous years catch up on their summer. You stand there with all the first years fidgeting waiting to hear your name called.
Adventure Overview:
You are a student at the most infamous school of witchcraft and wizardry. It is your 5th year at the school and you have been waiting to finally have your chance at participating in the Wizard Tournament! This tournament will not only test your magical abilities but also your wit and deductive reasoning. This adventure is based around being a school kid entering into a renowned tournament. During the course of this one-shot you will have an opportunity to study magic in class and interact with other students as well as enter into the tournament.

What does the GM provide?
1. A dedicated discord server for the game. With channels dedicated for resources, questions, and other contact needs.
2. Maps, handouts, character sheets are all provided through Foundry. I will also guide you on setting up your character tokens to represent you on the maps.
3. Personal guidance. If you need to setup a time one-on-one to create your character or hash out your idea.

Character Creation Guidelines
Players will start at Level 5 and stats will be stat array/point buy. You can use dndbeyond OR setup a one-on-one and I’ll guide you through character creation.
Who will like this game?
Players who enjoy spellcasting and puzzles would really like this game. Anyone who was a huge fan of the Harry Potter series would enjoy the thematic nods to the series. This game is very heavy in roleplay and exploration.
GM Guidance/Details
Once you’ve signed up and entered into the discord, make sure to @_panthea (that’s me) and I will set you up in the wizarding private channel where you will find all the resources for the game. You will receive a link to the dndbeyond campaign where you can create your character with custom races / subclasses and backgrounds. You will also receive a Player’s Guide.

Panthea (or Madelyn) immediately set the tone in our interactions on my signing up for one of her games. She was extremely kind and supportive. Through her adventurous and exciting games, I have gotten to experience Foundry VTT firsthand. She has been very patient and helpful in my understanding of this system. Through Panthea, I have also joined a wonderful Discord service full of fun, positive, D&D-loving people that have always made me feel welcome.
And it goes without saying that she is an amazing, trustworthy GM. She has worked with me on any questions or concerns I have had, and I have never felt unwelcomed or unwanted in her community. Panthea was so wonderful to play with for our friend’s event. She ran such a smooth game even though we had a couple new folks and no experience with the software! It was so fun to reconnect to distant friends with her quick and creative guidance. She handled our left fielders with grace in spite some of my doofus rolls!
Madelyn led a super fun, lighthearted, & immersive one-shot campaign for my birthday celebration. Our group largely consisted of some veteran table-top players, and Madelyn was absolutely incredible! I look forward to embarking on future campaigns with her, and highly recommend others do the same.
As a first time online rpg player (and as someone awful at using electronics) she has been incredibly patient and thorough as a DM. She always takes the time to walk people through anything they don’t understand and helps with every step of the process. Our sessions are always a hoot and so much fun. Highly recommend.
Madelyn (aka Panthea) is a wonderful DM who cares about her players and strives to make gameplay enjoyable. She is patient and really helps new players learn and understand the game as the campaign progresses.
