Heyo! I’m Robby, 22, and I’m here to run you a D&D game so badass you’ll be scared of goblins for the rest of your life. I know to some of you D&D veterans I’m a baby, but I’d like to think that my storytelling hasn’t been dulled by the brutality of the real world yet. For now, I’ll be running 3 hour 5e one-shots to get started, and I hope to see you there 😉
My playstyle: I live for improv, RP, and character interactions. The games I run are not about the stories I write, they’re about how you, the player, interact with them! I know 5e rules like the back of my hand, and try to stick to them as much as possible, but I’m no stickler. The mood is lighthearded and fast-paced (which can often be offputting to people looking to relax after a long day of work). Let loose, spitball your dumbest ideas, and roll with the chaos. If you’re more of a laid back or timid person, there’s no pressure to be as high energy. Your enjoyment is my #1 priority, so if you’re cool chilling and listening then blast it my man.
My Boundaries and Warnings: D&D is an imagination game, and that’s a pretty vulnerable state to be in with strangers. This is why boundary conversations are essential to a game. D&D should be like a roller-coaster; exciting often scary, but safe. I know for me D&D was a safe place to get out of my shell and try things out like flirting with a male Tavernkeep or try out narrative ideas and OC’s i really cared about. Before each session, there will be a conversation as to what topics shouldn’t be covered (Spiders, children in danger, Waldo, etc). These requests can be sent privately to me over discord before the game starts and I will account for them. These are my boundaries
My Warnings: I often flirt in-character, and am no stranger to in-character romance plots for longer campaigns. Sometimes raunchy humor pops up, but I’m a big fan of “fade to black” if you successfully seduce an NPC. Message me if you would like me to avoid including this in my improv.
About Robert: I’ve been running games for almost 9 years at this point, and honestly I only got into it originally because I was missing theater acting. I found that I really love putting together games and meeting new people. Currently, I spend my weekends as a character actor at the Texas Renaissance Festival pretending to be an elf or some shit.
